When we are home preforming our daily routine we generally are on auto pilot and don’t take notice of the mistakes we are making and with no one there to correct us – how’s a girl to know?
Read on to find out common everyday mistakes you're making and how to quickly edit them out of your life!
1 | Not using dry shampoo before bed
The majority of us sweat when we sleep. Liberally blasting your roots with dry shampoo at night helps to give the powder a ton of time to absorb any current oil and work on any we produce during the night!
Don’t worry if you can see the white cast of powder because it’ll wear off throughout the night. In the morning brush out your hair and boom your hair will look like freshly showered!

This is a great dry shampoo option for those of you with very oily hair! It’s a deep cleanse and if there isn’t much oil I found it to be a bit overkill and can be a bit heavy.
2 | Hoping into the shower with a full face of makeup on
Raise your hand if you are guilty of this! I know most of us are!
Steam softens the top layer of skin which enhances permeability. This means if you have a full face of makeup on and you jump straight into a hot steamy shower you increase the chances of your makeup getting absorbed into your skin. Ahhhhh….. sounds awful right!?

3 | Holding a glass of wine with your palm
If you are holding your glass of wine by the bowl you are making a common mistake. The heat from your hand can alter the flavor of your drink. We often don’t realize how fast our hands actually heat up our beverage so even though holding your wine by the stem may seem silly it’s actually very helpful!
4 | Not washing dark jeans inside out
It’s a sad-sad day when you put on your favorite pair of black jeans to see they’ve faded to showcase a white-ish hue. We all know it’s the inevitable BUT this quick tip can easily prolong the life of your dark jeans significantly – Washing your jeans inside out!
Turing your jeans inside out helps minimize the abrasion which causes fading as well as the wear that can happen along the edges. It’s equally as important to zip zippers and fasten buttons or snaps to help preserve the shape.
5 | Wrinkling your face with a cotton pillowcase
Your face has more contact with your pillowcase than any other fabric. So, if you want to keep your face refreshed, your choice of pillowcase is very important!
